M-Tec Engineering will return to the Ploughing Championships once again to display its ever-growing trailer range and latest novel innovations. Having enjoyed huge success with its livestock trailer range since hitting the market a number of years back, the Co Cavan-based business continues to expand its offerings and long list of optional extras including custom wraps, rubber floor mats to wind breakers and more.
The firm has more recently launched the optional novel Dual Door system, which allows the rear ramp to be open like split barn doors, as well a traditional single piece ramp. This offers the flexibility of being able to load pallets or similar with a forklift.
Following the launch of the flatbed trailer range at the Ploughing a number of years back, M-Tec will showcase a variety of models, from the lineup which spans from 10ft to 16ft in tandem and tri-axle configurations, alongside the broad range of general-purpose trailers. An 8ftx5ft general purpose tipping trailer will feature on the stand. Features of the M-Tec livestock trailer range include a box iron chassis instead of angle iron, offering increased strength, reducing flex and movement that can cause fatigue in the steel and weaken the structure.
All spring hangers are connected to the box iron to ensure stability while turning the trailer when fully loaded. Other features include folded aluminium sides and a welded rump rail for extra strength where it’s needed. Alongside sturdy rear posts and robust aluminium loading gates, all LED lights are integrated to avoid damage.
