The Kverneland Group Ireland debuted its new Tactus twin-rotor rake at last week’s Ploughing Championships. The new Tactus range comes in two model variants, the Tactus 2072 and 2078.
The Tactus 2072 offers an adjustable working width of 6.4–7.2m with 11 tine arms per rotor, while the larger Tactus 2078 covers 7–7.8m and uses 12 arms per rotor. The new-generation rakes feature Kverneland’s TerraLink Plus ground contour-following system, allowing the rotors to closely follow changing field terrain.
The Tactus range also uses Kverneland’s DUO tine system, with curved 9.5mm tines. Kverneland says the geometry is designed to lift forage smoothly, while reducing leaf losses and limiting soil contamination. Headland clearance exceeds 45cm, even at the narrowest working-width setting, while spring-assisted rotor stabilisation improves performance on uneven terrain.
The machines use Kverneland’s oil-immersed compact line gearbox. Options include larger 380mm wheels and individual rotor lifting.
