Ploughing highlights: Scottish-built push-off bucket makes Irish debut

Among a host of brands, Kilkenny-based machinery distributor Castleagri debuted a push-off bucket from Scottish-based attachments company Murray Machinery.

The push-off bucket is a new concept from the company. The manufacturer says it designed the product to work where conventional buckets have difficulty, such as when loading sticky materials like hen muck or well-rotted dung. The push-off gate is operated by two hydraulic cylinders. It says the push-off bucket can be fitted with different bolt on brackets to suit a variety of loaders. Weighing in at 1,350kg, the 3.5 cubic metre push-off bucket is the flagship model and is priced at €9,750 plus VAT.
