Patrons attending the National Ploughing Championships on Tuesday 15 September will have a chance to see a Ferguson 20 tractor being rebuilt in less than 10 minutes. The rapid display will see all components of the vintage tractor disassembled and then rebuilt in an exhibition of speed and skill.
Team manager Danny Glynn explains that the men’s team of Sean Hughes, Micheál Glynn and brothers Robert and Michael Tully will be looking to beat an excellent time of six minutes and 40 seconds, which they set recently at the Stradbally National Steam Rally 2026.
While the women’s team of Aoife and Emma Glynn and Dearbhla Nevin are looking to better their best time of about eight and a half minutes.
The demonstrations will take place at 11am, 12 noon, 1pm and 2pm on the Irish Vintage Engine and Tractor Association (IVETA) stand.
