Other questions seek details on potential project risks, how the fund should address these, how long applicants would need to prepare credible applications and what requirements could deter projects from applying. The breadth of these questions is notable given that work on the scheme has been ongoing for months.
What we know
The Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment has already indicated that grants could cover 20% to 30% of eligible costs, with a maximum of €10m per project and payments spread across five milestones.
The EOI closes on 30 October, with formal applications expected to open in the following weeks, leaving a relatively short window to finalise the scheme’s terms and conditions.
