There’s birthday celebrations in Kerry next week, as Kenmare Mart will mark 30 years in business.
The event kicks off with Mass on the premises at 7.30pm Thursday next, 9 July and manager Dan McCarthy has extended an invite to people to attend, promising refreshments and craic afterwards.
Thousands of sheep and cattle have passed through the ring in the southwest venue in the past and The Dealer recalls a hen party being held there too.
Dan is also on record as saying that with space for 300 guests, the mart would make an ideal wedding venue.
With a priest in attendance and Mass being said there, it’s a step closer to seeing his dream come to fruition.
