Dairy prices increased by 1.5% at Tuesday’s Global Dairy Trade (GDT) auction to an average of €3,339/t.
Skim milk powder is up 2.8% to an average €2,830/t, while whole milk powder jumped by 1.6% to an average €3,051/t.
Anhydrous milk fat was up 1.1% to €5,606/t, with butter milk powder increasing by 10.5% to €4,146/t.
Increases in price were also witnessed for mozzarella and lactose prices.
Butter prices were down marginally by 0.6% to an average of €4,641/t and cheddar prices fell by 6.5% an average of €3,138/t.
The price lift comes as Irish processors continue to set June milk prices, with Lakeland Dairies, Dairygold, Tirlán and Kinisla setting prices over the last week.
