All milk processors in NI have now confirmed their August prices, with Aurivo adding 0.5p, taking its base to 32p/l, and Tirlán holding at a base of 31.30p/l.
With a 0.85p “weather-related payment” added in, Tirlán remains on a starting point to 32.55p/l.
That Tirlán price was set in June as part of a three-month commitment, and the co-op has now announced a price for the rest of the year.
Between September and December, the starting price will increase to 33.4p/l, although the weather payment has been dropped.
There are also winter bonuses of 3p in October and November and 3.5p in December to be included.
Among the other processors, Dale Farm has the highest starting point for August milk, with the co-op on 33.8p/l once the 0.3p loyalty payment is included.
Lakeland added 0.5p, taking its price to 31.4p/l, while Leprino and Strathroy both went up 1p/l, to a base of 30.75p/l and 32p/l respectively.

Commodities
At the latest Dutch Dairy Board auction on Wednesday, prices were generally steady.
Butter was down €50 to €4,000/t, with whole milk powder unchanged at €3,870 and skim milk powder up €20 at €3,320/t.
