SenseHub Lifetime tracks heifers' development and progress towards target breeding weights. It also picks up sub-clinical health issues and heats you might miss, giving every heifer the best chance to become a productive cow.

Through transition and into lactation

The transition period is one of the most critical stages of a cow's life, with up to 80% of herd health problems occurring during this time.

SenseHub monitors rumination around the clock and picks up early signs of nutritional or health problems, often before symptoms are visible. This gives you time to take action, protect your herd's fertility and set cows up for a strong start to lactation.

Once she is milking, real-time heat detection catches heats, silent heats and flags non-cycling cows. This helps improve conception rates and tighten the calving interval.

Lifetime also includes these practical new features to support day-to-day management on farm:

  • Heat stress reporting: hot weather can affect cow rumination, milk yields and conception rates. SenseHub Lifetime alerts farmers when heat stress levels begin to rise, helping them take action before herd performance is affected.
  • Group management: you can now track trends at group level and spot inconsistencies between batches or feeding groups. You also get immediate feedback on diet changes, such as how quickly rumination responds when buffer feeding is introduced during a grass deficit.
  • Bespoke custom reports: every farm is different, so SenseHub lets you build reports to suit your own system. For example, you can quickly generate a list of the cows best suited to sexed semen or flag underperforming cows that are struggling with rumination.

  • Youngstock plus: a new SenseHub Youngstock feature will help farmers monitor a calf as she matures into a heifer, evaluate rearing performance and detect the onset of puberty, allowing farmers to select the top-performing animals for their future herd.
  • Seasonal operations module: this new feature will bring calving, breeding and milk performance figures together in one dashboard. This will allow farmers to view the entire season at a glance, check progress against KPIs and compare performance with previous years. This makes it easier to identify under-performing animals at key times of the year, for example during the pre-calving, post-calving, breeding and drying-off periods.
